Bystander critical following morning shooting

Tonight the family of a Belize City entrepreneur is keeping vigil at the K.H.M.H. after their loved one was caught in the cross fire of another violent eruption in what police are calling a turf war. News Five’s Jacqueline Godwin has the disturbing details.

Tonight twenty two year old Carlos Barrera is fighting for his life at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital following a shooting incident at the corner of Dean and George Streets. Around nine this morning Barrera was fixing his bicycle outside of this repair shop when he was shot in the chest and head from close range. The well known fruit vendor collapsed in the drain after being hit by the bullets.
