Sanjay and Lino get committed for separate attempted murder
Two young Belize City men will stand trial in the January session of the Supreme Court for separate indictable offenses including attempted murder, murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The first to be committed was Robert Tracey who has been accused of attempting to take the life of Loren Lennon, a former Security Guard of Anchor Security. On February twenty-ninth, 2012, Lennon was stabbed once to the neck area while hanging out on Bocotora Street in Belize City. Tracey was charged with attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and grievous harm. At the end of his PI, however, Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer informed Tracey that he would stand trial for attempted murder and grievous harm only. Tracey who has been on remand, was offered, but was unable to meet bail of six thousand dollars.
The second person to see his case committed to trial at the Supreme Court was twenty year old Sanjay Lino. When he was nineteen, Lino was charged with the murder of fifty-three year old Ernesto Myvette, a resident of Sand Hill, Ladyville who was gunned down inside his grocery shop on October fourth, 2011. While allegations are that Lino acted with accomplices to commit the murder, he was charged alone for murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
