We pay tax everywhere we shop. I dont care if I pay tax in Mexico at least you see where the money from your little contribution is going. Nice streets very clean a lot more variety a lot cheaper you dont have to worry being rob or shot when you comeout with your bags. I dont really shop a lot there I still try to leave my Bze $ at home. But when I go I enjoy.

I’m sad to say it, but it seems safer and cleaner in Mexico, and variety is a lot better. I don’t go there often, but when I do, it’s a pleasure.

Most things are less expensive there, too, but those savings are offset by the time it takes to visit there, so that is not a big consideration for me.

  3. O.Walk observer says:

You forgot to put one additional answer – CRIME. Crime is chasing people from Belize City and worse yet, you cannot expect protection from the Police since they are part of the problem i.e. abuse of power; corruption and manhandling individuals. Belize cannot compare with Chetumal for serrvice, variety and price; the government should take advice from Business owners and attempt to boost our economy. We cannot even build a short road to link our Border facilities to the Mexican new bridge and entry point, we have to depend on Mexico to do the job even after they completed the entire bridge by themselves. Belize is a country that likes to beg and expects to be given things for free.

  4. ceo says:

Belizeans go to America to shop and pay way higher taxes than they pay in Belize so I am sure it is not because of high taxes.

Could it be because of quality or could it be that we still have a colonial mentality: if it comes from some where else it got to be better?

  5. impartial says:

You gave three choices and I wanted to tick all three of them but you can only choose two. You should have added safety! Who wants to go shop in Albert Street not knowing when the next shooting will happen.

  6. Eye in the Sky says:

Stuff sold in Belize is old expired junk that is thrown out in modern countries. No variety at all.
I do most of my shopping online and can pick and chose what I want to buy at great prices.

Mexico I go to drink good beer.

With all the drug murders in Mexico it still has a lower murder rate than Belize.

    What a shame.

  7. Southern says:

All three options are connected. So i will choose all of them. Oh and how can we boost our economy if
even the politicians buy in Chetumal?

  8. Genotu Rembiuos says:
