Bulletproof vest saves shooting victim
Only two days after Leonard “Ghost” Myers was remanded to Hattieville Prison on a charge of Murder for the death of fourteen year old Rodney Cornorquie, police report that a gunman fired several shots at Myers’ brother on Friday night. It appears, however, that twenty-three year old Raymond Myers was prepared, as although the two shots to his chest ruined his shirt, an armoured vest stopped the bullets. Myers told the cops that around eight thirty, he was sitting with his family on the back stairs of his house on Vernon Street in Belize City when a clear complexioned man entered the yard and shot at him with a handgun. Authorities recovered eight expended nine millimetre shells from the scene while investigations continue.
