City shooting leaves one dead
In Belize City police are investigating a more familiar type of homicide which occurred late Sunday night. After receiving reports around nine p.m. of shots fired on Berkeley Street in the area of Wagner’s lane, cops discovered thirty year old William “Cat” Usher, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the face and chest. Usher was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police say they do not believe the shooting is related to the larger war now being waged on Belize City’s south side.
