Previous owners say no offer for Telemedia compensation
In his New Year’s Message, Prime Minister Dean Barrow said that the government is proposing to transfer to the previous owners of Telemedia, fifty million dollars of proceeds from the re-sale of shares. The down payment on compensation is a further sign of government’s desire, said the PM, in reaching a just settlement. News Five has checked with representatives of the previous owners of Telemedia and can confirm that no such proposal has been presented by the government in respect of any payment towards compensation.
