Hurricane season ends; Caribbean was quiet

Story PictureIn the world of tropical cyclones–otherwise known as hurricanes–no news is good news … and the 2006 season, which ended today, was one of the least newsworthy on record. Today News Five’s Jacqueline Godwin visited the Weather Bureau to find out why.

Jacqueline Godwin, Reporting
You are looking at the tracks of the nine storms that occurred over a four month period in 2006. They fall well below the twelve to fifteen systems that were predicted for the season.
