Y.W.C.A. will hold fashion show fundraiser
On Friday night, media personalities, community leaders, athletes and even some well known business persons will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk … all in the name of charity. The event, called a Celebrity Benefit Fashion Showcase and Awards Ceremony, is in aid of the Y.W.C.A.’s early leavers programme. The Y’s First Vice President Beverly Brown told us more.

?It?s one of the programmes that is heavily in debt and we need lots of money to run the programme because of the nature of the programme. It?s skills based as well as some academic. We have that P.S.E. that students write the P.S.E. in that programme and we also do skills in hospitality, cosmetology, and sewing, so we need lots of money to buy raw materials so that the students can practice their skills.?
Kendra Griffith, Reporting
?I understand that there will be different categories in the show, tell me a bit about that.?
