Accused murderer pleads guilty to manslaughter
A man charged with Murder today pled guilty to a reduced charge of Manslaughter. Twenty year old Andre Swazo shot Merton Castillo on April thirtieth of last year following an argument that centered on Castillo’s alleged disrespecting of his girlfriend, who is Swazo’s sister. Prosecutor Kamar Henry justified the plea bargain to Justice Troadio Gonzales by pointing to provocation of the accused. Sentencing will take place on December fifth.
