Three cases of carnal knowledge in court

There are three cases of carnal knowledge to report tonight. The first happened up north in 2011; it involved two girls, one who was nine and the other who was ten years old at the time of the crime.  The allegation is that between January 2011 and July 2011, sixty year old Lazaro Amaya, a resident of Corozal Town, had sexual relations with the two sisters. According to the ten year old child’s report, Lazaro would take them to the park in Corozal Town and would keep her in the van to engage in sexual intercourse. Other times he would sexually abuse her sister. A medical examination conducted on both minors confirmed that they have been carnally known. Amaya has been charged with two counts of carnal knowledge.

And on Tuesday, a fourteen year old minor reported to Corozal police that since September eighteenth 2012 and up until last week, she was having sex with thirty four year old Aldo Alan Moreno of Corozal Town. The fourteen year old is now three months pregnant. Moreno has been arrested and charged with carnal knowledge.

Also on Tuesday morning, CIB officers visited a house located on South Creek Road, Belize City where they found a thirteen year old minor in the company of two men: twenty-three year old, Enfield Ervin Fitzgibbon and twenty-two year old Ryan “Lippy” Alvarez. After it was confirmed that the child was carnally known, Fitzgibbon was charged with aggravated assault of an indecent nature and Alvarez was charged with carnal knowledge, both were remanded to Belize Central prison until March twentieth 2013.
