Story PictureHey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize?

If you’re looking for somewhere to go tomorrow during the day you can head over to the Radisson Fort George and check out the “Made in the USA” exhibition being presented by the US Embassy. Made in America is a display of American products, services and investments available in Belize. The exhibition will run from nine a.m. to six p.m. and the admission is free. So go and check it out.

This weekend the Succutz Drum Corp will be having their second annual Mr. and Ms. Succutz Festival 2009. This competition will be held on Saturday at seven p.m. inside the San Joe Succutz Cancha. This promises to be a night of talent, beauty and elegance. Tickets are only four dollars for adults and three dollars for children. There will lots of food and drinks on sale. So don’t miss out.

This Sunday, in Dangriga there will be a Family Day Beach Bash held on Malibu Beach. This huge bash will feature the New Rebels as well as Reckless, Continental Cat and others. There will also be boat rides, eating contests, dancing contests and cash giveaways.

Well, September Celebrations are almost here and I don’t know about you but I’m already feeling the September spirit. Now its time to choose the patriotic and carnival song. The semi-finalist will be performing this Saturday at seven p.m. at the House of Culture. The various carnival groups will have booths set up with food and drinks on sale. This is a competition that no September celebrations lover should miss.

Well, that’s all I have for now. Don’t worry, I’ll have a One Hot Summer segment for you next week. Bye

If there’s an event that you want featured, give me a call at 625-3079. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday at ten p.m.
