While in prison, his house was burglarized
Also up north, a Corozal man who was remanded to prison since November eleventh 2012 was robbed of a number of items at his property during his stay at the prison. Sixty-two year old Lenard Walker, a resident of Santa Rita Heights reported to police that while he was in jail, he left the keys of his house with a neighbor and then asked a friend to retrieve the keys and take care of his house. While in prison, Walker received a call from his neighbor, notifying him that some items had been removed from his house, including his pickup truck. There was another call to Walker, this time from his caretaker who informed him that four men were removing items from his property house reportedly with the authorization of his neighbor. On his release last Friday, Walker found out that various items which included electronics, household items, jewelry, tools and more were missing. The total value of these items amounted to two hundred and sixty-two thousand five hundred and fifty dollars.
