Do you support NGO’s machetes clearing the border?

With the Referendum now becoming a hot button issue, our last online poll question asked viewers if they support taking the Guatemalan claim to the ICJ? An overwhelming seventy percent voted no while thirty percent said yes. Turning to tonight’s question: Do you support the Clearing of the Border project by the Belize Territorial Volunteers? This is a very delicate, however very important issue. All Belizeans must be mindful that a line must be drawn and many times it involves risk. The Foriegn office and GOB should do everything possible to support and protect this group of brave, loyal and patriotic individuals. I fully, with caution support them.

Yes, if the goverment dont have the 6@11& to do it. I think they should support who ever wants to help to make that border line. These people clearing the border line dont know where the line goes. The goverment knows send someone to show them where to avoid tresspasing into Guatemala. The Guats are just waiting for that to happen. They could also use this agains Belize in court. Good luck guys. VIVA BELIZE.

  3. Storm says:

Absolutely, I support the Territorial Volunteers. They are making a stand for our country, in the same spirit as the men who fought at St. George Cay in 1798. We need to mark the border and enforce it. Every patriotic Belizean has a stake in this project. Long live free Belize!

I would like to see the Territorial Volunteers expand throughout all of the Jewel. We have a right and duty to defend our nation even if GOB wants to appease.

  4. Ricky Malthus says:

@ Storm. I support everything you say in the above. Now let’s apply that same zeal to protecting our borders and institutions from the devouring claws of CARICOM. CARICOM has already gobbled up our judicial system, our educational system. our customs department, and essentially our government. Investigate and analyze this situation Storm. We don’t want Guatemala nor CARICOM. We want to be free and sovereign. We have to get CARICOM agreement to make any changes in Belize. You don’t believe me, check it out for yourself.

Glad to see that someone is taking a stand, a contrast of Mr. Elringtons approach which is if Guatemala says JUMP Mr. Elrington replies “HOW HIGH”?

  6. ceo says:

Things only change when there are those who are willing to risk life and limb for the cause.

There is a time for everything including standing up for what is correct and just. Let us see some of this from you Sedi!

  7. Joe says:

Ricky malthus, I “strongly” believe that you do not know what you are say. All nations in the world are part of a group.
Educate yourself on the issue before you make any comment, honestly it makes you look like a dun @$$.

  8. Joe says:

I forgot to say that British and USA Spy Drones will be flying over the area of Belize, as the Obama administration is a big supporter of Belize, as we both share the love for Kenya, the land of your forefathers.
