Two charged with city burglaries
Police have arrested and charged a Ladyville duo for two separate robberies. According to police reports, thirty-year old Dennis Quilter and seventeen year old Kareem Arnold, both of Mitchell Estate in Ladyville, are believed to be the men responsible for burglarising the home of Ronnel Berges. Berges reported that sometime between October twenty-seventh and November first thieves broke into his house in the Bella Vista sub division and stole a DVD player, fifteen hundred dollars, and a loaded Beretta pistol. Police investigations led them to Quilter and Arnold, who were in possession of the firearm. But then cops struck pay dirt when during a further search of the suspects’ homes they came up with two watches and a car. Police believe those items were the proceeds of a burglary reported by twenty-seven year old Eric Chang on October twenty-eighth. In addition to the time pieces, Chang reported two rings and four thousand U.S. dollars missing from his house. It is believed that the money was used to purchase the vehicle. Quilter and Arnold have both been charged with two counts of Handling Stolen Property, while Quilter faces an additional charge of Burglary.
