Softball team wins 2 games in Costa Rica
The Central American Games is underway in San Jose, Costa Rica and the National Women’s Softball Team is making great strides in the event by winning two of its games. On Monday, Belize won over Costa Rica with a score of nine to two. The winning pitcher was Kenreen Gillett. However, Belize with zero points lost the next game to Guatemala which scored four. Earlier today Belize won its second game with a score of four against Nicaragua’s one; the winning pitcher was Lanisha Jones. The competition continues on Wednesday with games against Panama and El Salvador. The Page System Playoffs will be played on Thursday.

Congrats to our young athletes! I’m pretty impressed that they beat Nicaragua, because baseball / softball is the national sport there, every young Nica plays from very young.
Good luck in the next rounds!
