Farmer charged for drugs and ammo
It was not a good day in court for thirty-four year old Elliott Palacio, a farmer from Bermudian Landing who was caught with illegal drugs and ammunition. Palacio was charged with Drug Trafficking for five point four grams of cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Drug for a hundred and twenty-eight grams of cannabis and Keeping Ammunition without a license for seven live rounds of sixteen gauge ammunition. But Palacio claimed that he only occupies one of the three rooms that were searched by police and he knew nothing of the drugs that were found by police. He also told the court, that the ammunition belongs to another farmer, who does have a gun license. Palacio is the only one charged because no one else was at the scene when the search was conducted. He could not be offered bail because of the ammunition. Palacio is due back in court on September twenty-eighth.
