Destroying all that confiscated drugs

There are many cases of drug trafficking as well as numerous cases where drugs have been discovered in empty lots or abandoned properties, but where do all these drugs end up? Well, there are scheduled times, when all the drugs from closed cases or drugs that are labeled found property are destroyed. On Wednesday members the government press office and officials witnessed the destruction of a quantity of drugs. Superintendent Ralph Moody told us how much was destroyed.

Supt. Ralph Moody, O.C., San Ignacio Police

Ralph Moody

“Well we have ninety-two thousand found hundred and seventy-six point nine grams of cannabis, one hundred and thirty-five point three grams of crack cocaine, and thirty-two point four grams of cocaine. That is just a small amount that we have; we will be doing a next destruction in the few weeks from now. Doing it like this having the Magistrate, the JP, and the forensic when we destroy it by fire; due to the fact that it could be transparent and we can report that yes we destroy it and it don’t go back on the streets.”

The destruction of the drugs took place in San Ignacio.

    92476.9, would imply +/- 0.05 accuracy.
~200 lbs, about 92 and a half kilos, plus 900 milligrams

this is more accurate than professional pharma companies.
6 digit measurement accuracy sounds like blowing smoke.

how about that toledo plane loaded with coke that was quickly burned?
was it really burned, or did it go back to its upset owners?
cops got off, no convictions. maybe it never happened, just a TV movie.

I know when I drive around late at night I carry plenty of airplane fuel, extra scuba gear, police radios, and makeshift runway lights. Just in case I happen to run into a stranger stuck on the side of the road who needs it. Never know what you need when you make those midnight leisure rides from Corozal. Clearly GOB did not enough evidence, the case should have never gone to the courts. case closed, next!

keep busting the tourists for that 50 milligrams of cannabis.
they should have gone to Amsterdam or Colorado instead,
that will teach them and their friends: don’t come back, and hire a lawyer before coming to get discount rates and not miss your boat.

  2. Belizean says:

Ralph Moody a good man..Very very hardworking and honest…Keep it up sir!

  3. Eye in the Sky says:

Do the police really think we believe they destroyed any drugs?

Please we might look stupid but are not fools.

The only drugs destroyed are the ones that were tested and that was very small amounts.

Wonder how much Moody has in his bank account?

  4. Storm says:

Based on the legal precedent recently set whereby Gapi and his family were paid a handsome profit after their stolen Placencia land titles were taken away, PM Barrow has determined that it must pay a reasonable profit to the drug dealers whose poison was burnt, so that they will not be denied the expected profits from their criminal activity and can live in luxury as is the God-given Constitutional right of all major criminals in the Jewel.
