50 year old woman charged with Harboring an Illegal Immigration

Following the conviction of Salvadoran national, Irma Hilda Alas Azmitia for Assisting a Person to Remain in Belize and for the Use of a Falsified Passport, another woman is facing charges in respect of the same case. Fifty-year old Francisca Flores, a resident of Belize City, was today charged with Harboring an Illegal Immigrant; she wasted no time and pleaded guilty but when she learnt of the severity of the offense, she changed her mind and took a not guilty plea. According to the Immigration prosecutor, while they were conducting investigations into the Azmitia case, a minor admitted that he stayed at Flores’ house. Immigration officers and representatives from the United States Embassy then visited Flores at her Belama house and detained her. Flores stated in court that she did not know the minor was an illegal immigrant. Magistrate Adolph Lucas Jr initially intended to remand Flores but instead she was offered bail of one thousand dollars and ordered to hand over all travel documents. She is due back in court on April twenty-second 2013.
Isn’t it funny that every illegal caught is of every race except black again I am not not prejudice this is why it really bothers me about the prejudice in reverse their are over 5 thousand illegal Africans Haitians Jamaicans in this country and not one has been caught and deported in 6 years but every other race has, wake up Spanish and the rest of you non black.
Rod, maybe you can organize a posse of like-minded citizens and go make citizen’s arrests of the various illegals who catch your eye — that’s your legal right to do under our law.
In this case, I hope police and immigration dig deep and find out how many times before she has done the same thing, providing a “safe house” for people trafficking in children. Maybe police can squeeze her hard, and found out more about the trafficking network in return for a little — very little — leniency.
The UN is deeply interested in stopping trafficking in children, and they should be alerted about this case, maybe they can help in the investigation and future prevention.
