Third inmate charged for drugs inside prison

Wesley Emmanuel

It may be hard for officers to find clues to the demise of the individual in the swamp water, but not only do cops look for evidence at the scene of the crime, sometimes they must also check the prison. Earlier this week, two of three inmates at the Belize Central Prison were arraigned for drug trafficking charges. And late Wednesday, the third prison suspect, who was caught inside the prison over the weekend with a huge amount of suspected cannabis was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on similar charges. Thirty-seven year old Belmopan resident, Wesley Emmanuel appeared before Magistrate Hurl Hamilton where he was read three counts of drug trafficking offenses. Emmanuel, who is presently on remand for the November 2012 murder of former B.D.F. soldier James Morales, pleaded not guilty to the charges and bail was denied. He is to return to court on May thirty-first, but he won’t do so alone.  He’ll be in the company of his alleged partners in crime, twenty-four year old Orel Leslie and forty-one year old Floyd Anthony.

He has other partners in crime, and they work for Kolbe. Let’s put them in cells, too, or it will be criminal business as usual there.
