Herman Grant charged for murder of Dangriga taxi man

Herman Grant

Twenty-four year old Herman Grant, a resident of Cleghorn Street, has been arrested and charged for the murder of taxi-driver, Charles Ariola, which occurred in Dangriga over the weekend.  On Sunday evening, Ariola was embroiled in a physical altercation with Grant and two other men while at a yard on George Price Boulevard.  Ariola, a father of two, was shot once to the left chest and died within minutes at the Southern Regional Hospital. In the aftermath of the shooting, Dangriga police detained eighteen year old Raheem Williams and a seventeen year old minor in connection with the homicide.  Grant, who has a record of run-ins with the law, was arraigned in the Dangriga Magistrate’s Court today.

This killer needs to die. He’s young and already has a record for multiple serious armed crimes. He’s less than worthless to our nation, and now he’s murdered a working man.

Let’s hope police and DPP are up to the task of proving the truth, and the court has the courage to protect society instead of killers.
