Toledo suffers from power outage
The lights are back on in Toledo following a bad night and a worse morning. According to a release from Belize Electricity Limited, power to the district was restored shortly after noon today following a series of outages during the night and a five hour blackout this morning. B.E.L. says the source of the problem was a relay fault at the Independence Switching Station. The company says efforts to isolate the glitch were hindered by bad weather and rugged terrain along the transmission line.
