Dr. Gough appeals ruling; is offered job at K.H.M.H.

Story PictureIn news regarding Belize Defence Force cardiologist Dr. John Gough, earlier today his family informed us that they have filed an appeal against the disciplinary action with the Security Service Council. According to family spokesman, Dr. George Gough, his brother remains in detention in Ladyville and has now formally requested that the officials review his case. As for the Army doctor’s future, today we were given a copy of an open letter from Dr. Khalid Ghazy, director of medical services at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, notifying the public that Dr. John Gough is being offered the post of head of the Intensive Care Unit and technical director of the Accident and Emergency Unit. Work would presumably begin after Dr. Gough serves his twenty-one days of confinement at Price Barracks.
