Plane heard over Corozal village
Police and B.D.F. last Thursday, found nine blue drums containing suspected aviation fuel and sixteen empty plastic gallon containers near a landing strip that was destroyed by the B.D.F. two years ago in the area of Back Landing in the Orange Walk District. The find was made when law enforcement units were looking for a plane that was heard circling overhead in the general area near Crooked Tree. The plane wasn’t found nor was anyone at the site where the containers of fuel were found. On Sunday night, just after eight o’clock, residents of Libertad also heard a plane droning in the village. According to one eyewitness account, the aircraft seemed to be a cargo plane. It landed on the open stretch of road in Estrella, which is a small community of the old BSI factory which is close to Libertad. The eyewitness, who wishes to remain anonymous, says that he was prevented from proceeding on the road by four men who held him to the ground. A white pickup truck blocked the road. According to Corozal Police, a contingent of police and B.D.F. were deployed and combed the area, but came up empty-handed. No incriminating evidence was found, but usually clandestine landings are drug related.
Its becoming very common now that drug planes land and refuel in Belize, especially in the North. The question is— Who on Belize’s side is facilitating the refueling process. Someone big in OW is behind it, we may know who it is, but no one dares to say anything.
We have a police force that do not do patrols. They sit at the police station until they are called out: they react they do not act. This kind of system does not work; plains tend to move a little faster than vehicles. Maybe if a police unit was on patrol they could have called in backup and get the help they need. Plains are fast but they need where to land and this makes them easier to spot.

got that right, but only few police try their best to discover these fuel but others know what is going on and covers for others that they benefit from and that is why the government spends less in the police system and pay them low wages to make the dependent on hustling to make a living rather than being proud of what they are as police. the leaders are important for this country and if we dont have a true leader as prime minister or any other party then forget about this country moving forward
the government needs to look into this situation looks like planes could come and go as they please
