U.B. to develop ties with U.K. University

On Thursday we told you about S.J.C.’s educational collaboration with sister Jesuit institution, Regis University. Tonight, word out of the University of Belize is that they are also trying to developing similar ties with a university from the United Kingdom. According to a press release issued today, a delegation from Anglia Ruskin University is presently in Belize to meet with local officials. The plan is to determine whether student exchanges, joint degree programmes, training initiatives and research opportunities can be established between the tertiary level institutions. We understand that as part of the visit, the officials will be touring U.B.’s campuses in Belmopan, Central Farm and Belize City.
