Caribbean Salvation Army leaders visit Belize
Over the weekend, the Belize branch of the Salvation Army will be hosting newly elected Caribbean Territorial Leaders Commissioners Raymond and Judith Houghton. The couple arrived in the country today for a familiarization tour and according to Regional Commander Major Errol Robateau, will fine tune the church’s future plans in Belize.

?Their responsibility actually is for the Salvation Army welfare in the Caribbean. They are the liaison officers for the international headquarters in London and they are the local representatives and we go through them if we want to go to London with any matter. They will be coming on their initial visit to Belize to meet with the officer pastors and to see the work here in Belize. We?ll be having a welcome meeting for them, the young people will be putting on a concert on Saturday night and on Sunday morning at ten there will be a holiness meeting, which is a very solemn service for us and in the afternoon a women?s rally at three o?clock, so that?s basically what they?ll do. On Monday they will be meeting privately with the officers to discuss problems or goals of the territory.?
The Houghtons are based in Jamaica and will leave the country on Tuesday.
