To Aguas Turbias and beyond; Territorial Volunteers on the road again

The northern component of the Belizean Territorial Volunteers, led by Orlando de la Fuente, will be heading to the border this Saturday; destination is the border marker at Aguas Turbias, which is the intersection point of the Mexican, Belizean and Guatemalan borders. The trek will lead first to the Belizean/Mexican frontier and from there south to Aguas Turbias and the monument. The group plans to raise the flag, and also to mount this brass plaque with the name Belize onto the monument. De la Fuente had the plaque made after he travelled to Aguas Turbias and found that the monument carried plaques with Mexico and Guatemala, but none with Belize. New Five will be along for the expedition and we’ll have those images for you in Monday’s newscast.

Keep up the good work, Wil and the patriotic Volunteers!

I believe your efforts will catch on, the movement will grow — I believe every town and village should organize a squad or more of Territorial Volunteers, to secure their communities and our border.

If, God forbid, we ever have to defend the Jewel from Guat aggression, such organized units could become the basis for mobilizing the whole population and calling them to arms. GOB will never organize the population to defend itself, but the people can organize themselves to face whatever crisis may come down the road. In the end, it’s our nation, and the buck stops with us.

When will Sedi make one of these runs with you guys? Oh! I forgot he is afraid to upset the Guats.
