Positive Vibes from the musician
There is a new album that will hit the stands at music outlets around the country this weekend. “The Musical World of Positive Vibes” is being released on Saturday at the Agricultural Trade Show by the local Punta Rock Artist. A mixture of Dancehall, Punta Rock and Reggae, Positive Vibes says that the album is for everyone and highlights issues plaguing the society. The album consists of eighteen tracks featuring several artists including Taprick, Consego and upcoming artist Unlimited. But Positive Vibes visit to News Five’s studios was two-fold and he took the opportunity to launch the new video of his favorite track on the album, “Keep Rising.”

“The musical world of positive vibes. When I mi di think about this name it was meaning when people put in this album/CD ina dehn radio, deck or whatever, dehn automatically go into my world and the way how I di feel towards the whole music and the expression how I di bring it. So you automatically come outta the normal world and go into my world and listen to my vibes.”

“Basically I realize that punta rock dah one of fi we thing and I end up di put punta rock on the album. And of course dancehall to make people know that I well versatile likewise and I do wah reggae on it. It wah be weh yo could change the vibes from punta rock to dancehall and then yo just wah stay ina wah vibes weh the world, ina my world. I ended up collaborating with actually some new voices likewise—some voices that were on my previous album. I have my brother Unlimited, Una, Lyricist also, Consego, Continental Cat, Taprick; it’s very, very compiled. So we want everybody to get their copy. I will be at agric with the product. The official launching is at agric and I will be on the main stage to likewise the perform live. So you will get a live thing about what the album is all about. I got a song called keep raising and it’s a song not only for myself as a Belizean artist but for other Belizean artists that can relate to it. It is just saying that no matter weh haters say, no matter weh nobody else say, it is up to you to rise; to keep raising. And that is the video weh wah end up the show on Channel Five; weh I end up di give unu. So I want the people to get a good at that.”

“The whole concept is how I feel about the music business meaning that dehn got some people weh noh really di shub to that extent weh we woulda want dehn shub. Musical personnel; so then the music just di say that no matter what haters say, no matter weh nobody say, we wha keep raising. Dah just wah raising song. A word of confidence to the people dehn.”
