Belize City man drowns in Haulover Creek
Belize City police do not suspect foul play following the discovery of a body in the Haulover Creek. On Thursday morning, authorities were called to the foot of the Belcan Bridge where they retrieved the body of thirty-two year old David Michael Berges from the water. Berges was transported to the K.H.M.H., where he was declared dead on arrival. According to police, there were no signs of violence on the corpse and family members report that Berges had been suffering from depression. A post-mortem performed today has revealed that Berges drowned.
