Poll generates more votes than possible in elections

At news time tonight, there have been more votes cast in this week’s online poll than were cast in the last general elections in Belize. The question which was asked on Tuesday is: Do you support the decriminalization of sodomy? And at last check at six o’clock this evening, two hundred and five thousand four hundred and twenty-nine votes had been cast and counting. Of those votes, more than one hundred and five thousand are YES in support of decriminalization; while a little more than one hundred thousand votes are NO to decriminalization. Throughout the polling, the margins have either been slim or neck to neck. This issue, especially with the backdrop of Caleb Orozco versus the Attorney General of Belize in the Supreme Court this week, has received more attention than any topic placed in our online poll. While it is not a scientific poll, it can be said that it is an indicator of public interest and mindset in respect of this huge and emotional issue.

Well, my bet is that there were lots of votes cast by non-Belizeans in places like San Francisco, Hollywood, South Beach, and other Sodoms around the world.

Probably a few foreign Christians voted, too, on the other side.

No doubt there’s huge interest in the issue, and I’m glad it won’t be decided by Internet polling!

The Western World’s results in actuality; not Belize’s for sure. We will never accept that disgusting deviancy here as normal. Caleb dared to show his face and he has been set up by the Human Dignity Trust etc. who presented a poor, unprepared case full of weakness. Now the Smiths will go back to their hell holes and leave him alone in the mess he has brought on himself in Belize

  3. Right Living in Belize says:

Since UNIBAM and Caleb Orozco has brought up the issue with Section 53, the Belizean public should now approach the authorities and have them enforce the law and arrest the sodomites. After all the law does say that any ‘unnatural act will be punished by 10 years.’ Lets get the law enforced and start arresting some homosexuals, After all it has been proven by their own mouths, that they are having unnatural sex. Arrest them

  4. MACAL RIVERA says:
