Activists says some south schools have not received P.S.E. results
Seven thousand five hundred and thirty-three students sat the 2013 Primary School Examination. There are three moments that define the exam: the nerve wracking day one, and the sighs of relief following the completion of day two. But the third day which also carries some apprehension is the day that the results are released. On Monday, June tenth most students received news of their performance. And though the Exams unit has confirmed that each district manager had picked up the results on Monday, at least two schools in Punta Gorda have yet to receive any P.S.E. results. Punta Gorda social activist, Wil Maheia, told News Five via phone, that the students and parents are concerned.

“As of today, some of the schools in rural Toledo still have not gotten their results. Yesterday morning, most of the schools in Toledo did not get their P.S.E. results, but after we had complained about it on Facebook, by midday, most of the schools in Punta Gorda Town had gotten their results. But I just got a call from Dolores School and from Otoxa School saying that it is three-thirty today, Tuesday and they still have not received their results for the P.S.E. exams. And I just feel that as an activist that it is very unfair to the children of Toledo that they are not—[even] with today’s technology—they still cannot get their results when they are hearing on the radio and news that the results are out and they still cannot get their results. So I would just like to encourage the Ministry of Education to do your part and treat the children fairly. Well today it’s Tuesday evening and I am sure that if Otoxa and Dolores haven’t received theirs, probably a few other schools have not received theirs yet because there are much more schools in remote areas. I just think that with today’s technology, those results should be to those students. Those students are out there wondering, what happened.”
The Ministry of Education told News Five that the results were picked up by all District Education Managers on Monday to be distributed to respective schools in their jurisdictions.
They enjoy treating the South with disrespect it always showing in different instance.
