Teen says sodomy incident didn’t happen

The case against Keon ‘Gambis’ Williams, accused of sodomizing a fourteen year old student, ended today with an acquittal of the charges that were initially levied on him in 2009.  The incident reportedly occurred on an unknown date in November 2009 at the B.T.L. Park on Albert Street West.  While at the park, Gambis, it is alleged, ordered the minor to turn around and that’s when he had anal intercourse with him.  He was later charged for the crimes of committing an unnatural act and aggravated assault.  In court this morning, the young man, who is now seventeen years old, refused to testify and instead, he implied that he never gave a statement to police willingly.  He then asked that the charges brought against Williams be dropped.  Following the request, prosecutor Kaysha Grant asked that the teen’s mother take the stand; however, Justice Adolph Lucas objected.  Since he refused to testify, Justice Lucas directed a nine-member jury to acquit Williams of the charges.
