Dangriga Rotarians donate ambulance to Southern Regional
The Southern Regional Hospital has received a much welcomed boost to its resources today, courtesy the Rotary Club of Dangriga. During brief ceremonies today Club President Brian Cullerton handed over the keys for a 1999 Ford F-350 ambulance to hospital administrator Bernadette Nicholson. The vehicle will be stationed in Dangriga to bolster service to the communities in the south. The one other working ambulance is housed in Punta Gorda. Today’s donation was made possible through the Dangriga Rotary Club, the Valley Medical Transport in Winchester Virginia and the Methodist Church’s Belize Mission Project. The Club’s fundraising activities continue this weekend with the show “Fi Me Posse” in a one night performance on Saturday at the Dangriga Parish Hall.
