Corozal man takes home record Lotto jackpot
He’s only been playing lotto for two months, but tonight one Corozal man is the winner of the biggest jackpot in Belizean history. Thirty-two year old Isaias Majil had the numbers drawn on Saturday night: 03-07-20-22 and 25. This afternoon the father of two told us he cannot put into words how great it feels to have won.

?Actually I was at home and my wife came to tell me about the numbers, and I was like hesitant in believing it. Until this morning I actually verified it at one of the places that sells in Corozal Town. I went and checked the numbers, and actually they were the five numbers.?
?It is amazing. I felt like not wanting to believe it until I saw it. I feel terrific and my family is very happy.?

?Well I hope to pay like what most of us have ? bills, and with the rest I have some plans for the future for my two kids.?
After taxes, Majil takes home one hundred and fifty-five thousand, one hundred and twenty-five dollars. Majil is the coordinator of Marine Protected Areas at the Fisheries Department. The Lotto jackpot now reverts back to fifty thousand dollars.
