Cops say apparent suicide may be murder
It appeared to be a suicide, but police are having second thoughts. On Sunday night authorities were called to a house in St. Margaret’s Village on the Hummingbird Highway, where they found the body of Luis Hernandez. Hernandez was lying on the ground with a rope tied around his neck. Although the obvious conclusion was that Hernandez had taken his own life, police became suspicious when they observed blood on the victim’s face and hands. They are now looking at the possibility of murder and are seeking to question the person last seen in the dead man’s company. A post mortem is scheduled for Tuesday at the Western Regional Hospital.
