Six teens held in Los Lagos burglary
Police have arrested and charged six teens accused of stealing over twenty thousand dollars worth of items from a house in Ladyville. This morning sixteen year olds Eldon Thompson and Dwayne Young, fifteen year old Tyler Garbutt, nineteen year old Ernett Broaster, and eighteen year olds Albert Perez and Horace Adolphus all appeared before Magistrate Sharon Fraser. The young men were charged jointly with Burglary and individually for Handling Stolen Goods. According to court reports, Duane Williams reported to police that sometime between May twenty-seventh and July twenty-sixth his house in Los Lagos was broken into and a large number of items stolen. Police investigations led them to the teens where they managed to recover a pair of sneakers off Adolphus, a bike and two cell phones from Broaster, a CD player from Garbutt, diving fins and goggles from Perez, speakers from Thompson, and sleeping bags from Young, who also happens to live in Los Lagos. All the items belonged to Williams. The young men all pled not guilty and were granted bail of five thousand dollars. They are to reappear in court on September fifth.
