So let?s go to the start of this seventy-one mile elite ride, where thirty-five of Belize?s best are suited up. They?re off in search of fame and glory on a journey that takes them through the Placencia junction and Bladen Village then back to the big finish inside Independence.

On the way back to independence Roger Troyer quickly establishes himself as the man to beat today as he breaks out of the lead pack of six.

Adrian Faux of Santino follows the leader in a bid to grab the w. While Jeffrey Zelaya, Domingo Louis, Jose Choto and Ernest Meighan continue to stay in touch.

We?re moments away from the finish line when the solitary figure of Roger Troyer turns the corner.

It?s time to dress for the occasion, as the Sagitun rider Roger Troyer wins the race in 3 hours 1 minute 4 seconds and we certainly say congratulations.

In the meantime Ernest Meighan of Santino?s beats Jose Choto, Domingo Louis, Adrian Faux and Jeffrey Zelaya in that order to grab second place.

On this press Hernandez wants more, but this time he is denied by goalkeeper McKenzie, who pays with his body to stop the second attempt at goal. Nevertheless, San Pedro goes on to post the 3-1 big w.

In cricket news, Sunrise of Lords Bank took a 1 game lead in the best of three semi-final series in the rural play-offs by beating Brilliant of Crooked Tree 189 to 164 at Lords Bank on Saturday.

In the other match-up at Bermudian Landing Excellence rolled over Benny?s Wicked 11, 129-126 with all of three wickets to spare.
