Cops catch gasoline thief
Earlier this month we ran a story about the growing number of motorists reporting the theft of gasoline from their vehicles. Well tonight we are happy to report that an alleged fuel snatcher has been arrested. Police say that at two Sunday morning a mobile patrol on Mosul Street saw fifty year old Frank Thompson lying underneath a vehicle. Upon investigating they discovered that the rubber hose running into the fuel tank had been cut and lying nearby was a container with three gallons of gasoline. Thompson, a resident of Pickstock Street, has been charged with Theft and Damage to Property.
