Roaring Creek brawl ends in death

And in Roaring Creek police are investigating what appears to be a case of murder in which the victim was beaten to death. The fatal assault took place Saturday night at a tire shop in that roadside village near Belmopan. The dead man has been identified as forty-four year old Hollis Alexander Lopez. One suspect has been detained pending charges. Reports indicate that Lopez arrived for work at the tire repair shop where he became involved in an argument with his assailant over payment for a tire that Lopez had sold for the other man. A fight ensued which resulted in Lopez’s death. Reports indicate that both men had been drinking prior to the killing.
