Former police commissioner succumbs to injuries
Tonight we regret to announce the passing of former police commissioner Kent Haylock. Haylock died around three this morning at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Last Thursday he was rushed to the K.H.M.H. after being involved in a traffic accident that occurred earlier that day near mile eight on the Western Highway. Reports are that Haylock was travelling from Belmopan to Belize City when he lost control of the Suzuki Vitara. The vehicle hit a lamp post and overturned in a pool of water.
Up until the time of the accident Haylock worked as chief of security at the Central Bank. He was commissioner of police from 1991 to 1993.
