Major drug bust by GSU
The Gang Suppression Unit is reporting a major marijuana find. At midday today, the GSU searched a one bedroom apartment on Antelope Street Extension whose occupant is Therese Elizabeth Eligio who also goes by the name of Tanisha Young, a thirty-one year old unemployed. While Eligio was not at home, in the apartment, the GSU found a total of seventy-six pounds of cannabis stored in two bags. Eligio was detained as she rode a bicycle in the area while the search was ongoing. At the same time, the unit detected Karim Llewelyn Bood, a thirty there year old tour guide, disposing a black plastic bag from the adjacent apartment. He was soon apprehended and escorted to where the bag was thrown. Inside were fourteen small parcels of cannabis weighing in at a total of three pounds. Eligio was arrested and charged for two counts of “Possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply” and Bood was also charged with a count of the same offence.
