Uncle of deceased teen alleges police cover up
The sudden death of sixteen year old Kevin Francis was ruled a suicide on July twenty-sixth. His family, however, is not convinced and says that the fourth form student was murdered after he left home on Saturday, July twenty sixth. His uncle, Special Constable Elton Jex, has gone on camera to accuse the Police Department of being involved in the youth’s death. Well, today Jex called a news conference at his Munoz home address to say the family has established that police had a motive for the alleged murder. They provided images of the body before it was buried to support their contention that Francis could not have hung himself as police claim. The family bases its arguments on the position of the teen’s arms and legs after he was cut down from an iron grill behind the B.T.I.A. building near the Memorial Park.
Elton Jex, Uncle of Deceased
“On Friday, like I said, Kevin and another friend that always hung out with him had robbed two individuals on Marine Parade. So—this is my investigation and I have spoke with one of the said person who was along with Kevin that had committed the robbery. He said to me Mr. Jex yes, me and Kevin did rob two people on Marin Parade. So I said to him unnu know weh position unnu put unnuself in? He seh yes Mr. Jex and we also get fi find out dat di person who we had robbed is a police officer. And he did found out from one of his friends that police were looking for him because what happen is when di robbery was taking place Kevin called out his name, Kareem. Dis is a Kareem. An individual person who we personally took into di station on Monday did know about di robbery. He was also a friend of Kevin. He is also a friend of Kevin and we take him in to di station cause he willing to give a statement. He give a statement and admit to the police that Kevin did admit to him about the robbery and what they rob was a bicycle and a cell phone and the bicycle and cell phone was at his house. This is what he told. Kevin had the bicycle and the cell phone at his house. This is one Charles Neal who we took in to the police to give a statement. Ih seh and he use di cell phone fi do bout five text and di same Friday night he tell Kevin bwai you know di police dehn just come and search we and ask we if we see two young man pan wah bicycle because dehn just rob two person of dehn cell phone and bicycle. And he seh dat he tell di police he noh see nobody. I’m saying because of di robbery that would have been di motive for Kevin death. So they caught up with him and they probably did what they did to him.”
While we won’t run the name of the accused officer, Jex says he goes by the nickname Super Cop. And to add to their grief, the police investigations into Francis’ death have yielded next to nothing.
