Corozal man shot by hotel owner for urinating in public

A man from Corozal Town has reason to think twice before urinating in public again – since the last time he did so in the early hours of Sunday morning he was shot in the arm. Twenty-seven year old Francisco Castaneda claims he felt the urge to urinate at about two a.m. on Sunday, and decided to do so in an open lot next to the Sea Breeze Hotel on First Avenue in Corozal Town. Apparently the owner of the hotel wasn’t too pleased, and allegedly hauled out his pellet gun and shot Castaneda in the arm. Castaneda says that in the middle of taking care of his urgent business, he heard a loud bang and saw a man standing on the verandah of the hotel with what appeared to be a rifle in his hand. Shortly after, he says he felt pain in his lower left arm and realized that blood was running down his hand. Police arrested the owner of the hotel, naturalized Belize Gwyn Lawrence, and charged the sixty-three year old with wounding. He was scheduled to appear in court today.

Way to go Gwyn. I am so sick and tired of seeing men urinating in public. It is so disgusting and embarrassing for Belize. You should have some pride in your country.

Bad shot… Little lower and to the center – between the hip area. Yes, Francisco your weiner would have hurt for months and we would be spared from another pig urinating in public/ In some Arab countries, they chop it off for such behavior.
Not – it was a pellet gun, I talked to Gwyn about this, not the guys first pee there, and he had been warned many times. If Gwyn had wanted to he could have hit the dude in the head, and not the head with 2 eyes either, Gwyn was kind to the guy. What a great soul Gwyn was. RIP
