O.W. cops organize benefit for accident victim
Four months after Police Corporal Raul Magana lost his life in a traffic accident; his fellow officers at the Orange Walk police station have been helping the surviving members of the Magana family meet their medical expenses. Most critical is the needs of ten year old Seleni who in desperate need of a brain surgery. The operation is estimated to cost eighteen thousand dollars and while the department have been able to raise four thousand through donations, this weekend cops are hoping to collect the remaining fourteen thousand dollars through a benefit run and barbeque. The run is scheduled to start at six on Saturday morning from the crash site at mile eighty two on the Northern Highway and will finish in Orange Walk Town.
