2 Guatemalans detained after being found with 1 kilo of powder cocaine

A pair of Guatemalan nationals, identified as Jonathan Gregorio Adolfo Sandoval and Ruben Delilo Carrias Veliz, was nabbed at the western border this evening following a search of a vehicle in which they were both traveling.  At around four-thirty, Benque police, along with other law enforcement agencies, conducted an operation at the border during which they thoroughly examined a small four door vehicle the men were driving.  Inside the car they discovered one kilo of suspected powder cocaine.  It is unclear at this point where the parcel was destined and who would have been the local buyer.  The men were busted while attempting to cross the border into Belize.  Veliz and Sandoval have been arrested and are currently in detention in Benque Viejo where they will be charged for drug trafficking.
