Like P.M. Barrow, Minister Edmund Castro dodges waiting media

Edmund Castro

On Saturday, Minister of State Edmund Castro entered the country. He was in Miami on government business when he became the subject of serious allegations of corruption. Castro is accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars to facilitate and fast-track the processing of Belizean visas for Chinese nationals. The informant who came forward last week claimed that she personally delivered application forms for visas to Castro, along with two thousand dollars as his facilitation fee. She claims that Castro would then write a recommendation before sending his driver to the Immigration Department with the documents. Within forty-eight hours, the visas would be approved and attached to the Chinese passports. Saying that Castro’s return was anticipated would be an understatement. As it had one day before for the arrival of Prime Minister Dean Barrow, the media waited on alert to question Castro at the Phillip Goldson International Airport. But just as the PM did on Friday, Castro dodged the heat, escaping all scrutiny from the waiting press. Nobody is quite sure how Castro got past the vigilant media. He arrived on a ten a.m. flight and by eleven a.m. word reached those laying in wait that he had escaped. Today, a very credible source at the airport told News Five that Castro was picked up on the tarmac and escorted by a tender that led him to an area near the Bowen and Bowen compound on the airport road. Seems a little extreme, we thought, but nobody has a better explanation for Castro’s Houdini like disappearance.

what is he hiding if a man no guilty of wrong doings then he has nothing to hide? so face the media and talk up. that is why i like the mayor he always talks up and there should be more ppl like him as he no fraid to talk up. but again the mayor could be a good show too and knows how to better cover up and put on a good show. but in the case of castro he need to be castrated and removed. he was bad news form the on set. the thing is that i know him well too.

But he should have castrated. then we can say he is now castrated instead of castro.. in his case he can be then called castroted.

The Senior King as a layer has to advise his minister. He even sent the car on the tarmac to collect him, treating Casterone extra special, so he could advise the media. They are all answering by saying I no know nothing, but eventually admitting to one. If it is true, they don’t know anything, then why are they hiding. Senor, even if you no guilty of thieving, YOU SURE ACTING GUILTY!

If da not so, da mosey DEFINITELY SO!

Here is what should be done, all Ministers found to be involved in this Immigration / Visa scam should have their US visa revoked, this will get message across, just ask St. Lucia Police Commissioner. He was not accused of the same thing, but that was his problem awhile back. This do nothing Government will do just that. If they wants to know the truth all they have to do is ask the US embassy for help with the telephone calls and email messages. Enough said.

Eric Chang should come back to Belize. He probably would have supporters and greeters at the Airport to welcome him home. I personally feel that he holds the key to all this. Then again its not too far fetch to believe that maybe he is being paid to stay away.

Watcha Ya!! Look it!! A visa is what? It’s a permission to enter a country for a period of time. US Citizens and some other countries are granted visitation rights without a visa to certain countries. Eastern and Asian and middle eastern countries don’t have the same privileges. The reason is that most first world country citizens visit to spend lots of money on short visits. Other countries are economic tourists who are usually poor and trying to get to the US via countries like Belize. One only needs to apply for a Belize visa through proper channels and can be granted one with a small government processing fee and tax. If the fools are willing to pay $5k FOR A VISA.. Well then, the PUPtook their money and now the UDP has a turn to hustle. So all of you quit bitching. How many of you would pay thousands to get a US visa. Belize has an imbedded history of hustling from the man on the street to the top. All those barking at Castro and Penner would do the same thing. Let he who is not guilty cast he first stone..If some Chiney man want to pay $5,000 for a visa, thats good for the trickle down economy of Belize. And come election time…money trickle down. I know a single mother with 6 pickney who was given a house and lot from trickle down hustling money.

The castrino move is the new move in town. Always make sure you have a back door to run through, so you can avoid the camera. The police rough up the poor, but the million dollar white crime men are allowed to show us the back of their head as they run to our SUV’s , which we never get to ride. : )
