P.U.P. to protest in Belmopan, Saldivar says it does not phase him
As we reported on Wednesday, the People’s United Party is organizing a massive demonstration outside of the National Assembly during this Friday’s sitting of the House of Representatives in Belmopan. The cause for protest, says Deputy Chairman Julius Espat, is the rife corruption within the Barrow administration. The P.U.P. is in the process of mobilizing at least a thousand supporters for Friday’s rally, but that number does not phase Minister John Saldivar.

“Are you concerned that the P.U.P. say they want to mobilize a crowd of a thousand for tomorrow?”
John Saldivar, Minister of National Security
“I don’t know that I should be concerned and this is politics and if they think they can mobilize then let them try.”

“But you will recall that in 2005, while it was another scenario, that that is how the agitation started, with the opposition, your party at the time, starting with protests at the foot of Independence Hill.”
John Saldivar
“We are not anywhere close to 2005, I’m sure.”
Viewers would recall that a similar protest organized by the U.D.P. in 2005 resulted in the now infamous standoff between party stalwarts and the police department under the leadership of former COMPOL Crispin Jeffries.
Nothing phases Johnny. He is seasoned, can eat grissle, facilitates passports, runs the investigation, and makes his own Beano.
The passport investigation report is mostly done, just waiting for the shredders to finish.
Some Belizean people think these men are super, because they drive expensive SUV’s, look important, and is become complacent into thinking that they do no wrong. Their salaries cannot give them the things they own, so what we have here, are white collar criminals who think they have enough money to pay all the lawyers to get them off on loop holes. Men go to jail for stealing a sweat, but these guys will never go to jail unless the people who deal with them kept the evidence. Beside most of them use their drivers to go and collect! However, FIU and income tax can query their earnings, what they own, find out where the excess came from.
We are somewhat unhappy with what is going on rite now
But at the same time – the sad thing about mobilizing people is – it is poor people who will be out there going all out for the political parties then the big fishes sit back using them and kicking them in the arse afterwards!
Sad but true!
how true when you are slaves to these parasites.
Only when the corruption is banned and treated for the crime it is, will Belize be free.
poor, rich or powerful must be equal under the law; anything else you are a slave, pawn or serf in the world they create which you in fact own.
Kind of like the baby elephant beaten and held down by chains, later as an adult held down by a small rope.
The French went after them with the guillotine.
