Does the minister’s sister as C.E.O. in Immigration Ministry allows his interventions
According to Saldivar, he calls so he can see the visa process through. We’re not sure why a Minister completely outside the Immigration Department should be able to do that. Still, it happens. Saldivar did not say who he calls when he intervenes in the visa process, but his sister, Candelaria Saldivar, is the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Immigration. Today, when the media mentioned his sister’s name Minister Saldivar bristled, and said the media was out of line.
John Saldivar, Minister of National Security
“I think you’re taking it a little bit too far now. I certainly do not appreciate anybody attacking the integrity of my sister. I’m fair game. I’m a politician…you can do that. But I think you’re out of line to suggest that anything is out of line with the way my sister conducts herself as a professional public officer.”
Candelaria Saldivar is a highly paid C.E.O., and that position is on a contract basis, since C.E.O.s serve at the whims of the cabinet ministers. It is not an unfair question since Minister John Saldivar’s sister is the C.E.O. in the Ministry of Immigration.
Clearly Ms. Saldivar is incompetent in her job. Can anyone please tell us Belizeans what kind of expertise other than nepotism that Ms. Saldivar has that qualifies her to be CEO?
The other qualification other than nepotism she has is incompetency, for which she is paid big bucks out of our money, and on that alone, no matter how brother raise his voice or show discontent, the lady is part of the scheme and need to be investigated just like everyone else. She definitely won’t investigate herself. That result she would release would be a joke!
first of all what integrity is he talking about?? if she had any she would have resigned long time ago. secondly its funny because on wave radio they attack everybody and dehn grandma but now cause its his sister then you are attacking. johnny cake boy you can clearly see the end is near for you all.
Clearly, this minister is either arrogant or is living in oblivion, the press is not out of line to inquire about his sister’s involvement in all of this? When one is a top big name honcho as Minister of Police and his sister lands in a job as the top honcho of nationality and immigration. One can not help but to think/asked such questions about his sisters’ involvement in this national scandal. I concur with Malthus, what credentials/qualifications and expertise she brings to the table other than plain and simple old fashion nepotism. Clearly, it appears that these two are in cahoots.
Take notice generation after generation it is the same names of families that runs the government. This is a government not of the people, for the people but for the families who lay a headlock on getting their families secured in jobs that no one can fire them from.
Take back your country people and stop letting the suppressors and thieves rob your children of a future that has equal employment opportunity for all who qualify.
I believe the media should start looking deeper and publicize everything.
To begin with the prime minister has his son and his wife and every other family or close member in the right place so he can manipulate and hide as much from the Belizean People.
Saldivar is just practicing what the prime minister has set in motion. There should be a law in place against such crime, its safer and thus ensuring that the countries interest are met and not blinded or be lead by GREED and IGNORANCE
Just one huge corruption!
Shame shame shame!
If Johnnie did not want little sister to be accountable, he shouldn’t have made her CEO like big sis, whom we heard, spend more time running the ring road at all odd hours in the day, instead of being at the GOB office. Nepotism rule the day, and these boys learn from father very quickly how to make their family rich.
