O.W. man charged w/ fatal stabbing of his father
One week after eighty year old George Anglin Senior was fatally stabbed fifteen times in his Orange Walk home; his son has been arrested and charged for the crime. According to investigators, today, twenty-six year old, Berris Anglin and twenty-three year old, Calbert Carcamo stand accused of attacking the elder Anglin in his yard on May twenty-fourth. Police are remaining tight lipped about the events leading up to the crime but say the evidence gathered so far implicates the dead man’s son. Berris Anglin had initially reported that he and his father had been sitting under a shed when two armed men held them up. Berris’ tried to convince authorities that he managed to escape and went to the police station to get help, but the cops didn’t buy the story. While it is suspected that Carcamo inflicted the fatal wounds, subsequent investigations have led them to strongly believe money was the motive. We understand that prior to his death; the elderly man had decided to liquidate certain assets. Sources also indicate that recently Anglin had made out a will leaving his home to his sons George Jr. and Berris. Berris Anglin and Calbert Carcamo have since been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. George Anglin Sr. was laid to rest in Orange Walk this afternoon.
