Veterans Day celebrates the life of 3 Belizeans
Today is being celebrated as Veterans Day, in honor of those who served in the armed forces during the World Wars. Major conflicts of the First World War were formally ceased at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany took effect. In Belize, Veterans Day is observed by wearing a Poppy and tonight, we feature three local veterans who fought in World War Two.
