Adrian Bradley charged after being shot by cop

Story PictureIn more news from the courts, late this evening, thirty year old Adrian Bradley, son of Attorney Dickie Bradley, was slapped with three charges: the Aggravated Assault upon P.C. Mervin Locke, Wounding and Damage to Property. The charge of Damage of Property relates to Locke’s Anti-Drug Unit uniform. Locke was one of three officers who were on patrol near Wagner’s Lane in Belize City when they smelled marijuana in the air. Bradley and the officer got into an altercation and the officer allegedly shot him in the left calf. But how did Bradley get charged? Well, police says that in fact Bradley resisted being searched by the police and pulled out a knife which cut the officer on the left forearm. But today, a struggling Bradley, who was in crutches, appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to all three charges. He was offered bail of two thousand five hundred dollars and a surety of the same which he met. Bradley is expected to return to court on September twenty-second. Bradley was represented by Attorney Kevin Arthurs who questioned the three charges and tried to get the two lesser charges withdrawn.
